Why was my application denied?
Some applicants wonder why their adoption inquiries are denied (why an application may have been denied). In essence, it comes down to our mission statement.
Two Dog Farms is sworn to protect, rehabilitate and rehome the Korean Jindo Dog, throughout the Western United States, and to educate the public, encouraging the utmost appreciation for this ancient noble breed.
To every dog we rescue, we make a lifelong commitment, and to achieve our mission we must be relentlessly thorough in the adoption screening process. Jindos are complicated and often misunderstood dogs. Some will challenge their owners every day, for years to come. Are you prepared to meet those challenges? Do you have the dedication to tirelessly research any behavioral issues that arise and overcome the obstacles you encounter, month after month, year after year? Many of these dogs end up in shelters because their former owners did not take the time to educate themselves.
Our website (www.twodogfarms.com) contains a wealth of information on Jindos, as well as countless tips on household integration and leadership basics. If you’re serious about owning a Jindo, we encourage you to read every available resource. Please be prepared to demonstrate your knowledge of this complex Asian breed, and your ability to overcome adversity and dedicate yourself to providing a stable forever home.
An application doesn’t need to be “perfect” – it merely needs to be “Jindo appropriate.”
Thank you for supporting our efforts to protect this magnificent breed.
