COURTESY POST! "Jaco" Oakland, CA. We are sharing COURTESY POST! "Jaco" Oakland, CA. We are sharing this information to try and help Jaco's current caregiver (his deceased owner's ex-wife, who is relocating abroad): "Jaco is a neutered male Jindo, 12 years old, originally purchased from a breeder in Texas in 2016. His owner — my former husband — passed away this past November, and I've been his temporary caretaker since. I've spent months trying to find a way to keep him myself, including seriously looking into bringing him with me when I relocate to Korea. But between the logistics of his care, the travel, and everything else I'm managing right now, it's become more than I can sustainably carry, and I've started leaning toward the hardest option — euthanasia. Before I make that decision, I wanted to give him one real last chance, which is why I'm reaching out to you.I want to be upfront about his history: in October 2024, in state of Idaho, Jaco bit a restaurant employee who set a water bowl down near him without giving him a chance to register her approach — he resource-guards around food and water and reacted defensively. It led to a civil claim that's being handled through the estate, so that side of things is being resolved separately. Beyond that incident, he's a dog with a pretty well-understood profile: he doesn't get along with other dogs, he's reactive to sudden approaches or unfamiliar hands near his food, and he gives a clear warning (growling) before escalating. He responds well to verbal reassurance and a calm, predictable handler. He's current on Bordetella (not yet canine influenza), and has some age-related hind-leg weakness that's improved with exercise." We have further information we can share regarding Jaco if you are seriously interested in assisting him, so please reach out to us at info@twodogfarms.com if you would like to learn more. Thank you!

She stood up when the kennel door was opened. Shewas wary of the leash, but the runner was able to gently toss the leash over her head after a few attempts. She walked nicelyon leash while bypassing the other kennels, and was easy to collar. In the catch pen, her body was neutral, her eyes wereneutral, and her tail was low. She entered the yard, and briefly greeted a calm dog. She roamed the yard with a neutral body, keeping to herself as much as possible. She offered a few appropriate corrections when the dogs tried to play with her, butescalated to over-corrections when two playful puppies joined the yard. Anytime the puppies approached her, she wouldbare her teeth, lunge, snap, and try to chase them away. She was easy to steer, and would sit by the handler until the puppiesran by again. She allowed the handler to pet her, but did not actively solicit petting. Polly is selective of the other dogs, has alow energy level, and does not have a playstyle at this time. (If you wish to view her shelter medical history, please email us at info@twodogfarms.com, and we can forward that).

FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED! Poby, Bellevue WA If you ar FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED!Poby, Bellevue WAIf you are interested in fostering, please visit our website to read more about our foster program, and email us:www.twodogfarms.com/fosterinfo@twodogfarms.comIf you are interested in adoption, again, please email us, and we can put you in touch with his current family.Poby is a young neutered male Jindo, about 2.5 yrs old, currently with his family, but they have made the decision to try and rehome him, for no negative reasons other than that the wife is injured and unable to walk him, and the husband feels rather overwhelmed by the typical Jindo behaviors, like shedding, and high prey drive for local rabbits etc.Poby is up to date with his shots, receiving flea/tick preventatives monthly, and fit and healthy. One of our local trusted volunteers visited him at home, and suggested he is probably under 50lbs at present, but could perhaps put on a few extra pounds without problems.Notes from his current family:"He will mostly ignore people on the street. His reaction to other dogs depends on if he is in our local neighborhood (may be reactive to) vs at the dog park or other location that is not home (friendly and likes to play/run with). He has high prey drive and tries to chase rabbits if he sees them on our street. He eats mainly kibble (blue buffalo), supplemented with boiled chicken breast, occasional hardboiled egg, treats. Poby gets a daily walk and sometimes trips to large dog park or trails. He likes to sleep outside in doghouse in backyard. He knows come, sit, lay down, leave it. He will pull on leash when on a walk unless the leash is made very short. He doesn't love being scratched on top of head but will tolerate it. Otherwise likes being scratched, esp neck, belly, back, legs. Doesn't love baths but has learned to tolerate it. Likes going on walks. Loves playing tug of war with stuffed raccoon/rabbit toy.Poby is fine riding in the car, and will jump up into trunk of SUV, can be lifted as needed, once realizing he is at the vet will resist going in initially. He has no separation anxiety. If not walked or given exercise/stimulation he may try to chew on trees or plants in the yard."

Please contact us at info@twodogfarms.com if you are interested in adoption, and we can put you in touch with their current carer. Notes below (and photos) provided by their carer (please note: these dogs are NOT with our rescue, nor have they ever been - we are posting them as a courtesy): "I have two jindo dogs i rescued one male one female both just over 3 years old.  they came from an older korean man who’s wife passed. he had both of them shipped here from jindo island. i have all their paperwork. I’m looking for a home for them." They do not appear to be spayed or neutered as yet, but are microchipped and have had a vet check.
COURTESY POST! Contra Costa, CA. This pretty Jindo COURTESY POST! Contra Costa, CA. This pretty Jindo-girl is being listed as a courtesy to one of our supporters. If you are interested in finding out more about her please contact the phone number below:925-695-4784 (Notes provided by her family in response to our questions)Approx 4 years of age, and approximately 50lbs in weight.Currently not spayed. No known medical issues. She is nervous of new people and can be shy. Not people aggressive. Does not currently get along with other dogs, and if to be homed with another dog will need slow and patient introductions, (which we ALWAYS recommend, regardless of breed or behavioral history), otherwise she may act defensively towards the other dog.She eats once a day at night. She is anxious on walks because she is not used to them. She has been kept as an indoor dog (with outside time for toileting of course, and limited walks). She does well riding in the car and can be lifted in and out.No separation anxiety but she is shy and nervous sometimes, but she is sweet. As she can be nervous she may be best in a home with no young kids. You may also contact us by email and we can connect you with her current family.info@twodogfarms.com

Notes from the shelter: Our shelter is seeking transfer placement for 2 Korean Jindos in our care, Mas (233167) and Chris (233168). They have lived with each other all their lives. Both of the Jindos are not sheltering well, they have not been eating or relieving themselves. They are both very shut-down and scared.
